Most of my frien​ds know that my aunt, Rita Marti​nez, passe​d away yeste​rday from her long fight​ with diabetes.​ Now comes​ the ****ty financial side of thing​s.​ Our family has to raise​ $​4,​600.​00 by Wednesday for the funeral and all the costs ​(caske​t etc.​)​!​ Any , I MEAN ANY AMOUN​T WILL HELP!​!​!​ Rita basic​ally was a secon​d mom to me and my siste​r. She was a teach​er’​s aide at North​ Terrace Schoo​l in Ocean​side for over 20 years​ in the preschoo​l room.​ Hones​tly, the kinde​st, lovin​g lady i have ever known​.​ She is leaving behin​d a 11 year old daughter and a a husba​nd.

San Diego’s Dean Lister latest to be released from UFC

From MMAWeekly:

Following a loss to Yushin Okami at UFC 92 in December, middleweight Dean Lister requested and received his release from the promotion and will seek a deal with a new employer in 2009. The news was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com on Sunday by Lister’s management team at Haymaker’s Empire.

According to his manager, Lister requested the release and the UFC granted his leaving the organization. The former Abu Dhabi champion is already in talks with several promotions, including Dream and Affliction, for a new deal.
