Jesse Taylor- The Fight Within

It was reported on July 29^th that Jesse Taylor was released from his UFC Contract after being given a second chance from UFC President Dana White. The reason why he was dropped from the organization is unclear. It may be due to the loss in Jesse’s first UFC bout to TUF 7 runner-up C.B. Dolloway. There is also speculation that he was let go for accusing the UFC of using a double standard when it comes to fighters getting into trouble – referring to the recent arrest of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. There also may have been some doubts by the UFC management if he was following through with his Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Whatever the reason Jesse Taylor now finds himself with a new fight in his hands.

Jesse Taylor on his Upcoming Fight with CB Dolloway

This season of SpikeTV’s most popular series, The Ultimate Fighter, ended in the show’s biggest shocker ever. The subject of that shocker was none other than former Poway High and Palomar College wrestler, Jesse Taylor.

Taylor defeated four opponents en route to the final match-up, where the winner receives a six-figure contract with the UFC. Unfortunately, the night after the show completed taping, Taylor lost his chance. “I got a little too drunk after the six weeks of isolation,” Taylor said of the incident. “We all make mistakes; mine were exploited on national TV.” [Read more]
